Universal Access
Go to the apple in the upper left-hand corner of your screen, point to System Preferences and click.
Under System, click on Universal Access.
A helpful feature is Zoom
Turn Zoom On to use keystrokes to zoom in or out: Command - Option - + will allow you to "zoom in" to the place on your screen where your pointer is. Command - Option - - (minus sign/hypen) will "zoom out".
Click on the Seeing tab for tools to help with the sight impaired. The VoiceOver may be useful for students who don't yet read or have difficulty reading, as well.
Click on the Hearing tab to activate tools for the hearing impaired.
Click on the Keyboard tab to change keyboard sensitivity.
Click on the Mouse & Trackpad tab to change settings for these input devices.
